Studio Work
I have taken a big turn with my studio work recently, I have developed a new technique to create collages completely different from my last ones. These collages focus more on composition and quality of marks. The technique I use is I lay strips of masking tape onto a scrap piece of paper, then paint an abstract painting on top. Once it is dry I will peel off the strips of masking tape and carefully lay them down onto a new piece of paper carefully taking into consideration the composition of the piece. I again made a series of them and below are some of my favourites. I plan to exhibit these pieces in my interim exhibition and then develop them further by expanding on scale.
