Rosalind Davis - Visiting Lecturer

Today I was in a lecture given by Rosalind Davis, who is an artist and a curator at the Collyer Bristow Gallery. I found this lecture to be very helpful as she gave us tips on working in the professional world. One of the things she told us is how to get exhibitions/ invitations/ opportunities by researching, networking, word of mouth and building relationships. She also gave us tips on how to write a good artistic statement and proposal for open exhibitions. Rosalind then gave us advice on how to price our work properly, this is something that I was unsure on. We were told to take into account the cost of materials and size. Overall this lecture was very helpful as I now feel a lot more informed about working in the professional art world.
