Today I went to the Chester Market to invigilate a gallery space that was exhibiting work from lectures and students at the University of Chester. The theme for this exhibition was 'everyday aesthetics' The artists had taken photos of items that they walk past/work with every day to appreciate the beauty in the objects they usually ignore. It was pleasing to see how many people were interested in the artwork and asking questions about its context.
